High Millage Oil
I ran high millage oil in my car last time I changed the oil in my 1994 Camaro 3.4 L V6 with 80,000 miles. I have heard after I changed it that it will cause my gaskets to swell, eventually leading to failure. Is this true? What should I do, continue using high millage oil or should I go back to a conventional oil.
Thanks
Thanks

I would not have used the "High mileage" oil to begin with. Simply use a good quality motor oil that meets spec's and a good quality filter every 2500 to 3000 miles, thats all you need. I do not forsee any gasket problem by using the High mileage oil one time as you mentioned.

you do not have "high Milage"
An good engine should just be broken in around 80k. My 5.0 stang has 182k, and I am just considering it high milage now.
Just change your oil exactly as recommended in the owners manual for the life of the vehicle and you should be fine.
