Seatbelt won't retract

I need to tighten the spring on my seat belt retraction mechanisum so that it will collect the entire seat beat strap when disingaged.

I removed the cover and I see the rollup bar embedded in a box inside the wall of the car. There are two large bolts connecting the box to the cutout in the frame. Is there an easy adjustment to tighten the spring? Do I have to remove the box?

Car: 95' Iszuzu Rodeo.

No. If the unit is damaged like that, it must be replaced. No user serviceable parts inside. Do not mess with or gamble with seat belts---you could destroy the integrity of it.

If it will not retract properly, replace it with the correct OEM belt from the dealer.
