I HAVE A 1988 DODGE OMNI 4 CYL FUEL INJ NEW BATTERY THE RPMs SUDDENLY DROP TO 0 AND THE CAR ALMOST STALLS THEN PICKS UP SPEED AGAIN ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE THIS HAS HAPPEND TWICE IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS

First suggestion: Kill the caps. No need to shout.

Second suggestion: Start with the links and posts I have below.

Third: Look for a vacuum leak (Missing or broken hoses, bad PCV valve, grommet, etc).

I agree, a vacuum leak is the first thing that comes to mind.
