86 Ford f150 tranny ?

Hello Ladies and Gents,
The transmission in my pickup is doing some strange things, or at least I think its the tranny, could be the rearend. Well, here's the problem, while driving in overdrive it drives fine at speed, but, when I go to slow down or stop it starts to buck and clang. It sounds like the rearend is gonna fall out. But if I drive it in drive not overdrive it doesn't do it at all. Questions, comments anything is appreciated.
thanx,
Al

Possible sticking internal solenoid/torque converter clutch solenoid.

Have a good tranny shop go for a drive with you.

Unhappy f150 tranny

I think i just read a reply that might have been the same as what I am going to say,,,,,oh well,,,,sounds like it could be the torque converter lockout,,,,,,,not un-locking. Does the trk. want to buck and stall as u slow down from hwy. speeds? If it throws its tantrum then,,,,,,,i could very well be the lock- out. Am thinking its the tranny store u would be going to,,,,Good Luck!
