electric switch-over

I am hearing stories about switching a basic auto over to electric for about $5000. Is there a reliable kit on the market that covers all the bases ?,I would do it to a 1986 S-10 . Does it cover brake functions etc. (ie: is it all inclusive). I am not a mechanic , what is a fair price to have it done ??.
What is the expected range per charge ??

Could it be done? Sure. Should it be done? No. It cannot be done effectively on a gasoline powered vehicle.

That's what the EV1 and Honda Insight/Toyota Prius and other variants are for.

Even GM has an electric S10 if you want to keep the faith .
