Question Starter 1985 Ford Pickup

Truck will not start. Can hear something spinning.The starter? How to replace starter. Can I do it myself.

1985 Ford f150 P/u
6 cyl. 3 speed column shift
200,000 miles

Sounds like maybe a bad starter drive in the starter. Replacing the starter is not that tuff a job. With that many miles you will want to replace the starter relay on the fender, this will ensure maximum power to the starter.

You can allways pull it off and have it tested. But, it really would not hurt to replace it with that many miles.
