1999 chev astro missing

Hi
I've got a 1999 astro, that in damp or wet weather, misses or stutters when you accelerate. It starts up fine and runs smooth as long as I don't step on the gas. I tried adding some gas line fluid to the tanks of gas..and I even tried different gas companys..and even put in the high test(which was painful considering the cost). I took it the the garage and the wiring and plugs and distributor was changed...and it's still doing it. Any other ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks

was the distributer cap changed? or just the distributer. if the distributer cap wasnt changed i would start there, you may have to leave it at a shop next time its wet outside so they can actually see the problem and determine what is causing it.

I agree with bejay moisture in your cap could cause you symptoms. Or running the engine with to much air in the air/fuel mixture could be causing your misfires.

Never assume--it could have easily been missed and it sounds like your problem. I agree.

Ok..had the injectors flushed and it is running fine now...except now the oil presure gauge moves back and forth depending on the amount I step on the gas...why is it doing this all of a sudden?

It should move back an forth depending on how fast the engine is turning. Soundís like the might have accidentally fixed it.
