hey hey ,k ,ive got a 96 geo-4 cyl-70,000 miles--the other day for the heck of it i put half a bottle of fuel treatment in-within 1 day a knock started i changed oil-plugs-oil filter-of course the knock didnt stop--people have told me its worn cam-knock sensor ect.ect--i took off valve cover and the knock is from down below...any thoughts-ideas of what it is and what i should do???

ok now grey smoke!! i have located oil on #3 sparkplug------valve seal?

The knock could be a lower end problem. Check the oil pressure with a reliable hand held gauge. If it doesn't meet spec, there is a problem internally in the engine.

Geo models like this are throwaways, the vehicle is not likely worth a new engine if it needs one

i love my geo

i have a 1990 geo storm, bought used 5 yrs ago, i have done nothing but drive it............... good luck
