Stripped Lug

Well I learned an important lesson in not starting a lug nut out with the impace wrench. When I did this, I of course stripped the first couple of threads on the studs. Here is the question. Can I rethread this stud? Is it more economical and less hassle to replace this stud or to buy the tools to rethread it?

Its the rear passenger side wheel on a 2001 Rodeo. The lug nut replacement was a 12mmX1.5

I would think a stud and nut would be the least expensive.Carbide tools are not cheap,so i would replace the stud and nut.

No, the stud and nut are wasted and must be replaced.
