small paint job

just wondering the best approach to
doing a small one inch by one inch
paint job on my car ... a chunk of
paint has come off of the car
and you can see bare metal
just below paint level with no rust
showing... how do you go about
preparing the patch to be painted
thanks

area has to be feathered out and then blended in. If you have a decent paint job and are going to keep the car, considering what you need to do the job, myself, I would have it done by a body shop.

I agree with Darrell. A body shop is the only one that can do it so you cannot tell.

You also have to wonder what made the paint chip off in the first place.
