How do I get cleaner emissions?

1992 Pontiac GrandAm
2.3 Liter "D" type engine
47,000 miles
new parts- spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, oxygen sensor, alternator, battery, starter, and oil change.

I failed emissions when I took my car for inspection the other day. My car read 1234 for NOx when the standard is 1088. And my CO% was 1.32 when the standard is .79. What can I do to make it pass?

You have an EGR/cooling system problem if your NOx is that high.

Your gas mileage and performance must be WAY off.

Be careful spending money on that vehicle, it's a notorious head gasket blower and a wicked heap
