95 Neon - transmission

1995 Neon, 2.0 L, auto trans, A/C. When at rest and starting to accelerate from a dead stop, transmission slips sporadically. Vehicle has 120,000 miles, and has not had any previous transmission service. Thanks.

If the fluid has never been changed, you have likely wasted the tranny. It should be changed every 25k on the dot.

What is the condition of the fluid and filter?

High Hydrocarbon on Emmission Test

My Jeep Cherokee failed the emmissions test today for high hydrocarbons. Here are the specs. 1987 Jeep Cherokee, 4 cyl, 4 speed, 4wd, 187,000 miles. Test results were: Hydrocarbon tested 2.74 standard is 2.20 - failed. Carbon Monoxide tested 9.20 standard is 55.0 passed. Oxides of Nitrogen tested 5.44 standard is 3.50 N/A. Any suggestions as to what I might do to improve the HC? Thanks.Read More

My mother is wanting her garden broke up and went to crank tractor and no juice. checked battery and it was dead and would'nt charge. bought new battery and although good battery still nothing. It won't even turn over or make a noise. Could it be the starter or altenator? I konw it would help if you knew the make and model, but i've forgotten.
