Question Front End Vibration - Motor Mounts

I have a 1995 Toyota Camry (4 cylinder). I have been noticing vibration in the front-end--mainly during acceleration. I just rotated and balanced the tires and that did not make any difference. Last fall I had a 120K service done on the car and the shop told me that my motor mounts needed replaced. I didn't do it at the time, because my bill was already large enough. Could the bad motor mounts be the cause of the vibration I am experiencing?

Also, bad front axles/cv's would be prime candidates. Had that on my wife's '95 a while back (@about 125k, I think). Drove me crazy for couple of weeks before figuring it out. It still has original motor mounts
