Ford Focus electrical box under seat

Bodyman was sanding with water and thought he might have gotten water inside a small electrical box under back seat on passenger side.He removed connector and spayed inside the connector with electronic contact cleaner and reconnected it.Car was working well before the body work was started and now won't start. What is that box.It seems to have something to do with the gas tank. Why won't the car start now.

Possibly an antitheft computer. Suggest the shop pick it up at no charge and repair the damage done.

FPDM

The box you refer to is called a Fuel Pump Driver Module.

The Focus uses a returnless fuel system. The FPDM controls fuel pressure by varying the fuel pump voltage.

I agree w/ Joe_F. This is the bodyshop's problem, not yours.
