Fan blower - speed 1 and 2 not working

2000 Chev Cavalier

lost the first speed on the blower fan...6 months later lost the second speed. Currently only have speed 3 and 4. Is this an easy fix that I can do ?

thanks

Sounds like a failed blower resistor. This should be just like the one on an Alero. Waaaaaayy back under the dash on passenger side.

5.5 mm short socket, swivel, 6"wobble extension, 1/4 drive on a cordless drill is the best way I've found.

Can be a patience tester if you've get a temper!

I think there might be a bulletin on water leaking into the blower housing on these too.

Did a rash of these 'bout 6 months ago, but ain't done one in a while.

I agree. Wasted blower resistor.
