Transmission?

Have a '98 626, automatic. It's been running fine, but yesterday it seemed slow to kick in gear. I was driving back from a business out of town and once I got off of the interstate I notice it kicked in to second gear rather hard. At a stoplight, it wouldn't even go into gear, it was like I was nuetral. It finally did catch, but would not get out of first gear and then would slip back out like it was in nuetral.

Any ideas where to start?

Thanks.

Change you fluid and filter. Make sure the transmission vacuum line is not leaking. Next make sure you linkage is adjusted properly. You will need a OEM manual. Baring any of those thing you more than likely have a problem inside the transmission you will need professional help for.
