Auto stalling problem:

"95 Chrysler,New Yorker,3.5V6". This problem happened on the road, here's the symptoms, From a stop, as I accelerated to go, the engine sputtered like straving for gas then stalled, it seemed like it wanted to start has I turned the key but keep cutting out. After a 5minute wait it started up and ran normally, then after a mile driving it began to sputter again and cutting out.after another wait and another try it started up again and ran normally.
I drove it right to my car service afraid it might stall again.
I think its the fuel pump but I'm waiting for an analysis of the repair problem. Has anyone have an idea of what it can be.
Thanks. Jackie lee
