I know this seems like a silly question, but I need to change the starter on my '82 new yorker, and I am not sure where it is located, I have had the car looked at and I so know that is the problem, but I need to know where to look for it so I know what I am looking for when I go and purchase the part.

The engine size would be a help....

Go to your local library or parts store and pick up a manual to guide you.

Most chrysler's starters are located on the right side of the engines, where the engine bolts to the transmission (right side as you face the front of the engine) It'll be down low, and difficult to see from the top...
