'01 Durango Dual Exhaust

With only getting 15 mpg at 31,000 miles, I was thinking of having the single exhaust converted to duals at a muffler shop. Any one with experience with any of the modern cat back systems, flowmasters, etc? Do you recommend splicing behind the cat. converter, or running two converters, pipes and mufflers?
Thanks.

i would doubt that any modification to the exhaust will improve your mileage suggest checking owners manual for suggested sparkplug replacement interval if non platinum plugs was used from factory new plugs may help but dont expect much of a difference, probably the number one complaint from dodge durango owners is bad gas mileage from what i see come into the shop.

Yup, get used to the poor gas mileage, comes with the territory on trucks like that.

Dual exhaust may look cool, but won't net you any real fuel mileage gain.

You wouldnt get enough gas savings to pay for changeover.
