97 honda timing belt

my daughter has a 97 honda civic dx and is in need of a timing belt. 75000 miles. Is this a hard job and can it be accomplished by a fairly competent shade tree mechanic.
thanx

You should pick up a repair manual to guide you, but in lieu of that, check autolibrary.org below and see if it's something you want to tackle.

Change the water pump and V-belts at the same time as well as the hoses.

I think that I will leave this to the pros. I'm too much of a coward

Admitting a job is beyond your skills in a public forum makes you pretty smart, to me..No cowardice that I can see..good call.
