89 Pontiac A/C doesnt work

1989 Pontiac 6000

The A/C fans work, but not the actual cold air. Do I have to take it to a shop to get it repaired?

If you mean that the heater/AC fan in the car blows, but does not blow cold air, yes, professional service is required. A/C work like that is not a DIY repair. You need specialized tools and knowledge to fix it.

If the blower fan doesn't work, the fan motor could be bad, or there could be a wiring short.

Not clear on what the problem is. Sounds like it blows warm air.

If so as Darrell said. "Yes", professional service required.

Thanks, it does blow warm air, so I will have to bring it to the shop.
