Unhappy Diagnostic coads

I have a 1999 Olds alero and I am having a problem with my dash board lights and power windows, when I first start it up the dash board lights and speedometer and windows don't work the radio does work and the check engine light comes on after I drive it for about 5 min then everything comes on and works ok. I put it on a tester and the codes I came up with are p 1665 and p 1676 I was told that they are dealer codes. Can I have some help here from anyone that knows what the codes are and how to fix the problem Thanks.

Both codes deal with the evaporative emission control system & really have nothing to do with the instruments.

I *guess* it's possible that the evap. vent solenoid is shorted & interfering with your instruments, but that's a long shot. You're going to need a GOOD scan tool with BCM code capability as well as a good DVOM and an OEM service manual to accurately diagnose & repair this problem. Otherwise see your local GM dealer or qualified independent repair shop.
