Torque conversion figures

Just a general question regarding torque. How many inch/pounds are there to a foot/pound? Is it 12.? Looked everywhere but could not find this conversion figure. Thanks.

You might want to check the SAE website, they probably have a good explanation and formula.

You guessed it right! 12 inch lbs equals 1 foot lb. Example: 240 inch lbs = 20 ft lbs. / 60 ft lbs = 720 inch lbs.
