1987 pontiac Bonn.key broke off in switch

Hi; My 1987 pontiac bonn. has a key broken off in the ignition switch. I need to remove the switch how do I do that? I have the steering wheel off, but there is a lot of stuff in there.Will the switch just pull out some how?Got to be a trick about getting it out.

There's no trick per se, but you'll need a lock plate depressor in order to get at the lock cylinder. You can buy or rent one from Autozone or most any other parts store.

I agree. Most times when I'm in there I change the turn signal switch because you have to "fold" it over in order to get at the lock cylinder. Sometimes the wires get brittle with age.
