ac relays
95 chevy s-10, 4cyl, 2wd, manual trans. two ac problems. first i have no voltage at compressor terminals. second problem is that the ac only blows out of defrost and floor vents. i have a haynes service manual that identifies three relays on left hand side of rear engine compartment all on same bracket as being for ac. this is the only info it gives as to what they are. i wish to test these relays to see if they could be my problem. i have a electrical background and feel i could test if i knew what each were for. thanks for any help.

You may have a shorted compressor coil which will probably cause your trouble.
Also, the relays likely have nothing to do with the air coming out of the wrong areas/vents. That's a vacuum problem. Closely inspect all of the A/C vacuum lines for cracks and splits. You're likely to find a few or a bad check valve.
