Question 2000 pontiac grand am

I have a 2000 pontiac grand am, the turn signals only work once and a while. We have changed fuses and still have the problem. We have been told it may be the flasher. what dose it look like and where would it be located at?

Check all the bulbs closely. Might be blackened and making partial contact---just happened to me on my 89 Cavalier this afternoon. Two new bulbs and in business .

Newer cars put the flasher in the fuse box (under the dash, drivers side..) Lots of them nowadays are black square boxes like a relay, rather than the old round silver ones.. have an owners manual? It should show the location...

On this model, the turn signal flasher is incorporated into the hazard switch. If flasher portion is bad, the switch needs to be replaced.
