datsun transmission

I have a 1966 datsun 1600 fairlady that won't shift. It has a 1595 cc engine and a four speed manual. The car is in reverse when the stick is in the neutral position, will stall and die when the stick is in first and second, and the stick will not go into third, fourth or reverse. Depressing the clutch does put the car in "neutral". Is it time to drop the tranny for rebuild/replace or could it be something simpler like needing fluid? Thanks in advance for any advice!

When's the last time this winner saw a clutch? Sounds like it's sticking.
