Mirror fell out

I have a 1997 Olds Cutlass. Over the winter a guy bumped into my car with his body (so he says) and the lens of my mirror popped off the plastic part it was glued to. The plastic part is in one piece and so is the lens. What I want to know is how to put it back on.

Will 2 part apoxy work, or do I need some sort of marine adhesive?

Crazy glue or a commercial mirror adhesive (such as what you'd buy for house mirror tiles) should work.

Is crazy glue water soluble (spelling)? I know it is somewhat protected by the plastic and fiberglass mirror housing, but won't the glue wear off after while? Or is it safe? I would rather use the crazy glue if it will work.

Thanks for the advise.

You can get any automotive adhesive suited for plastic and it will work.

By the time the mirror falls out again, the car would be junk .
