Question 96 Sebring Convertible Top Motor

The motor takes forever to lift the top back up on my 96 Sebring Convertible . Is there any type maintenance I can do or do I have to get a new motor. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace & what the approximate cost for parts and labor would be? Thanks

I have seen this. Could be just a lil low on oil. Look behind the rear seat at the motor and there should be a little rubber plug. Remove it and fill with the proper oil and you should be OK. Your owners manual should tell you what oil to use.
Hope this helps,
Billy

First, see if Alldata shows any bulletins on this model & problem. If they do, visit the Chrysler dealer for a full printout. The dealer should have the needed fluid as well.
