Hi, I own a 1998 VW Cabrio with automatic transmission. I guess my basic question is: is the transmission adjustable? Is the adjustment expensive?
The car reacts as if the internal clutch( I dont know if it has an internal clutch) is not being smoothly applied. It doen't always happen, only when I try to quickly accelerate. It reacts as if it has a standard transmission and I'm just learning to use the clutch.
Thanks, JimB

My service information indicates that your transmission cannot be adjusted externally. Certain clearances can be adjusted internally, but this is typically done during overhaul.
Get your car to a VW dealer or a good independent transmission shop familiar with European automatics for a diagnosis.
