Question Engine stops unanounced.

94 Ford Ranger;2.3L Standard trans; w 105K miles. Vehicle runs good but will stop w/o notice. Have replaced ignition control module & plugs, wires. When it stops, all electical will work except it will not start. It cranks but does not fire up. Fuel pump checks out, My conclusion is it has to be electrical. After vehicle sits for about 3-4 minutess, it will start! I need an expert or someone that has had this problem to take my frustration away! PS. No water in fuel tank! Vehicle may stop soon after it starts or it may run fine for 2-3 days or even weeks before it stops again! Any suggestions are greatly needed. Also, scanning will not give any codes. I have not been lucky enough for this to happen when a mechanic is near. Regards.

Sounds like a failed ignition module that quits when it gets hot.

Next time it happens, yank a plug wire, crank it over and see if you have spark or not. Betcha ya don't .
