Smile Akebono break pads

Could someone please ‘bring me up to date’
on the ceramic break pads. The only ones I was able to find some information onwas Akebono, but again it does not tell me much.
Do the work better? How much better? Is that much better worth
paying ~ twice as much as OEM semi-metallic?
Are they going to ware the rotors faster/slower then conventional pads?
Stuff like that….

Thanks,

Nah, waste of money, except maybe on a REALLY high end performance car.

Use the OEM pad for best performance. Best mix of noise resistance, fade resistance, wear characteristics, dust and pedal "feel".

I've used Raybestos PG grade and they've been excellent too.
