Question crankshaft postion sensor

where is the crankshaft postion sensor located on a oldsmobile 1988 delta 88 royale
3.8L V6 c engine.

Should be right above the crankshaft pulley.

more like right 'behind' the crankshaft pulley, i believe it's two 13mm bolts that hold the whole bracket on, replace the bracket with the sensor, sometimes it is rusted onto the dowel it's on and you might have to pry it a little, you might have to turn the engine with your hands to line up the openings in the trigger wheel that the sensor reads off of. DO NOT bend this wheel, it's a thin blade of metal or you will be replacing that too!

the new sensor will have to be adjusted(centered) properly or it won't last five minutes

Thanks for the info. Dreamlady is my mother in law. We did find where it was located. We lined up couple of guys to put it in for us. You information was really helpful.
