95 Grand Am Turn Signals

I just had the starter switch replaced in my car at a shell station.
When I drove off I noticed that neither turn signal is functioning.
I went back and they want me to leave it again.
But for some reason I am wary of this. Is there a connection between the starter switch and turn signal that would have caused this or is it a fuse issue? The bulbs are good, and the lights and wipers etc work fine. I did not check the hazard control.
What do you think?

If they worked before, return it to place of repair for a FREE fix.

I'm wary of that because thats when things really start to go wrong. I've had this car 7 years, and it hasnt given me many problems. What about fuses, etc?

Please describe what you mean by "Starter switch". The two problems may be TOTALLY unrelated.
