Can't get the backup lights to work although the bulbs are good. Where is the switch and how hard is it to change?

It's been 1 of those days, so I may be wrong, but I believe it's part of the neutral safety switch mounted on the driver's side of the transmission, where the shifter cable hooks on...There should be a couple bolt's that hold it on, that allow for adjustment..You have to be careful when adjusting them so that the truck won't be able to start in a gear..

It's either there or at the base of the steering column. It is probably the problem.

Chock the vehicle so it won't roll. Put the shifter in reverse. Wiggle the shifter. If the lights come on and off, it's an adjustment.

Otherwise it's a switch or a ground problem.
