Another Power Window

It's a 97 Acura 2.2 with automatic.

The window went down and never came up. I can hear the motor turn for about two seconds then cut off.

I took it to a shop, mostly because I don't know squat about electrical, and I didn't want to hurt the door panel.

Well, the shop diagnosed it as a "broken" regulator and told me $287. Seems steep. I may pay them "something", order the regulator and RR it myself. How complicated is this door panel?

It's not the door panel so much as it's the regulator and motor service that's the gazorch.

287 sounds about right for Acura parts---they can really soak you fiercely with this stuff. Unfortunately, one of the "benefits" of owning a foreign car.

If you do want to do it yourself, I'd suggest an Alldata.com subscription ($25).
