'95 Neon - sparkplugs

Are these new sparkplugs, i .e. the platinum ones, really that much better than the older resistor types? Are they OK to use on a 4 cylinder, 2.0L, 1995 Dodge Neon, with auto trans, and A/C?
Thanks. Also what is the best type of engine oil to use? Older plain, synthetic mix, or 100% synthetic?

Use the part # recommended on the emission label for the vehicle.

According to Chrysler, this is Champion RC9YC, but check your underhood label to be sure.

Anything else is a waste of money. Regular engine oil that meets or exceeds the API spec for this vehicle is fine. Check the owner's manual for the recommended grade. It's likely 5W30 or 10W30.

Unfortunately, this 2.0 engine is a known gasket blower and oil leaker no matter what oil grade you use .
