toyota cv joints

to whom it may concern,
I would like to know if it hard or very diffuclt to change cv joints on a 1995 camry. I am mech.inclined Do I need special tools or any thing like that.

Impact Wrench, and correct size socket for the axle nut. Long Pry bar to pop the axle out of the transaxle. Other than that, basic hand tools will be sufficient.

Agree. Buy a remanufactured axle from the parts store. It will be ready to install and is a lot easier.

Did my wife's '95 Camry a while back. My recollection is that the biggest PITA was the mid support for the r/h axle. The big snap ring holding the bearing in is a bit of a dog. Procedure should be in autolibrary:

Need a drum/wl cyl replacement walkthru

I have a 91 Dodge dynasty 3.3 liter, drum brakes in rear. I took it to a shop and they told me I needed new drums, wheel cylinders, bearing pack. And that the shoes and linings were ok. Problem is they wanted to charge me 500 bucks! I picked up the parts yesterday for about $150 and with the help of an ASE friend in CT(Im in San Diego)and some research, got the basic procedure. I still have to get some jackstands. I have never done this procedure before. If anyone would be kind enough to take me from A to Z on this one, I would be greatly appreciative. My main concern is not with the location of parts, removal/replacement, I seem to be pretty clear on that. My concern is blowing brake fluid everywhere or on me! I'd love to have some qualified advice! Jason Mann

testing a fan relay

is there anyway to check a fan relay with a meter? 93 lumina 3.1...only one fan kicks on when hot...pull out primary relay and the other one kicks on so i know fan works....but shouldnt both operate when hot? air also uses primary fan....secondary never starts.....
