oil on spark plug

I was changing spark plugs in a 1995 Honda Accord and there was oil on one of the spark plugs. The oil was on the outside of the spark plug and the end of the spark plug wire and on the threads of the spark plug.
What causes this and what can I do about it?
Thanks.
David

4-cylinder?? v6???

i've only replaced one honda 4-cylinder engine(odessey), so i can only speak for them(for the record--it never had it's oil changed and was a completely sludged up anchor)

---likely----- valve cover gasket is leaking into the tubes

---less likely----- o-ring is leaking between the cam journal caps and the cylinder head

tighten up the valve cover hold down bolts/nuts for now and keep your eye on the oil buildup

if it's still there, the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals is a much easier job to do than the o-rings underneath.

Correct.

I believe Felpro makes replacement valve cover gasket/O-ring seals for this application now.

Valve Cover gasket is most likely the culprit as Mike said. I have done 3 of these in the last 2 weeks.
