blower motor will not shut off

blower motor will not shut off
My parents 1997 Concorde (3.5L) heater/A/C blower motor will not shut off. It keeps running in "high" mode, regardless if it is in "Auto" mode, or "manual" mode.
There seems to be a resistor block that the motor plugs into. There are 2 plugs in this block; one with 2 wires (Green and Black) and one plug with 3 wires (Black, Red w/ a yellow stripe, and Green).
If I pull out ANY one wire, the motor will shut off. I checked the resistance on the resistor block from the black wire (plug that has only 2 wires that come from the motor) to the other plug wires individually and had these results: black to black: .2ohms; black to red w/ yellow stripe: 7K ohms; and black to green: 61K ohms.
Looking at the autolibrary site, the wiring print shows 1 more wire and they are color coded different, but the run seems to match the series layout (if the resistance is correct) and now I am lost. PLEASE HELP!

One more thing, I took out the control panel from the dash and unplugged it and the blower still operates.
Also, I see that on the autolibrary site, I was looking at the manual A/C, which is on the top left of the page and at the bottom right side of the print it shows the auto a/c and my wires match.
Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I went to a local library and they have manuals made by "Mitchell" and it shows not only detailed wiring prints, but it also has a specific troubleshooting test (Test 20A) for the blower speed stuck in high mode. After going thru all the steps, using an multi-meter, it says to replace the ATC power module (resistor block). I had to purchase this item from the dealer, which cost $122.00. This made me extremely nervous due to the fact that this is a non-returnable part!
Well, I installed it and IT WORKS!! Problem gone...
Thanks guys for your help.

Amen to the information!! With so many makes and model cars/trucks out there, it's pretty much impossible to remember everything like the "old" days..I use both Mitchell On Demand and Alldata all day, everyday.. The ole memory isn't what it used to be!!
