A while back I had posted this as a vibration problem. It is in fact the engine misfireing and running erratic. Yes its alot worse than before, stalls , surges, misses badly. I went ahead thinking it was in the ignition system and replaced the Idle controller (aic), module, TPS, crank position sensor,mass airflow sensor,coil pack, wires ,plugs. Nothing changed I'm thinking of tossing the EEC-IV. Can anyone tell me where its located in the car? If anyone has any other sugestions or thoughts they are well apreciated. Tested all the hoses for vacumm leaks too. The only thing I found were a few loose screws on the intake manifold. It does have its moment when it runs normal, 5 to 10 seconds, then goes nuts again.Read More

I just picked up a 49 lincoln coupe. it is a 6 volt system with a gen and regulator. The question is can I put a 12 volt battery in the vehicle. and still keep the rest of the system 6 volt?
Being the added accesories which are elec shaved doors solinoids, cd player radio,
Or if I put a12 volt Battery and alt in it would that be the way to go.
and what do I do about the volt regulator????
