1987 Honda Crx Si Clutch Cost/Replacement
I just purchased an 87 Crx in pretty good shape for my son. I was told the clutch slipped a bit, however it is more than a bit and will need replaced very soon. Does anyone have an idea of what it would cost to get it replaced at an autoshop? Not real handy with cars so just purchasing the clutch kit and replacing it myself I may not be able to do. Unless it is pretty straightforward and simple. Only paid around 800 for the car and so far the clutch seems to be the only big concern we have.

That's sounds about right..Also, in this day and age, most shops are willing to give a pretty accurate estimate, even over the phone. Call around, and see what the shops quote you..Make sure you ask about getting the flywheel machined, and replacing the rear main seal (crankshaft) while the tranny is out. Beware the shop that is hundreds less than the others.. **smile**
