car windshield

A truck ahead of me scattered stones and one small one hit the widshiled of my car. This has caused a minor crack or spot in the windshild. How do I prevent it from becoming a bigger crack as time goes by. Any remedy to concel it/fix it other than changing the whole thing! your advice is appreciated.

Drop by any good glass shop. Many of them can fix small spots very easily and reasonably.

Barring that, windshield replacement time---don't cheap out, the windshield is part of the crash structure of a vehicle and shouldn't be compromised.

Under a 100 bones I would imagine. Some places install new windshields for about $250.
