PAINTING CHIPPED TRIM?Q&A discussion

I just bought a used 300ZX the car has a new paint job although the black trim around windshield is chipping and the black paint around t-tops was completely removed and bare metal is showing. What is the best way to paint...should it be sanded at all or primered? or Should I just tape off and spray an auto enamel on? suggestions anyone?

Plastikote makes special trim paint for this purpose---any parts store stocks it. It's called "Black Trim" or something like that.

Follow the directions on the can--should be good to go.
