wave washer/blinker

My1987 chevy cavalier washer/blinker control arm is broke off at the tip , inside the steering coloumn. Sorry i should have been more specific. I went to junk yard and joe you were right, it just pulled out ( washer/ blinker control arm )
So how do i remove the little peice thats broke off down inside were it connects into the steering coloumn? so that i can replace it with the one i just got form the junk yard ?

The lever snaps into the wiper switch assembly on most GM cars from circa 1982 and up....

I assume you mean a piece of the old one?

These columns can be a bear to work with. You will need some special tools (wheel puller and lock plate depresser).

These are not for the faint of heart. Lots of pieces, and it's critical they go back the way they came out. A good diagram is needed such as found in the GM shop manual.

I have had to dismantle a few of these over the years and they are not fun. LOL.
