brakes on 90 grand caravan

How hard is it to change the brake pads on a 90 Dodge grand caravan? Can I do it myself?

A breeze from what I remember. Now is a good time to change the rotors too if they are worn out and need to be cut. Many times, cutting the rotors warps them, I like to change them with good US made replacements.

Use autolibrary.org below to guide you in the brake R&R.

they're the same as any other car or truck with disc brakes.

if this is the first time for you, you need to do some reading and research, as it's more than just replacing pads. things need to be inspected closely, some parts need to be lubricated and some parts need to remain clean, sometimes parts need to be measured to the .1 of a millimeter or .001 of an inch and things need to be installed the correct way, if something simple is overlooked, you will have big problems---no brakes.

i'm not trying to discourage, just educate you, your vehicle is one of the easier brake jobs to do, but still things can go wrong.

if you're still interested, post back, we'll help
