Tachometer Question - Higher RPMs - why?
Hello All
I have an 1985 Honda Prelude. For the last month or so my tachometer had been reading much higher for a given speed that usuall. The change was rather sudden so I don't think it's anything like the clutch gradually wearing away or something. I figure it's a cable issue or something.
Anyway, is there some quick little test or something I can easily check to solve this problem? Thanks

It could still be the clutch, when mine went in my GEO Metro it snuck up quickly in similar fashion to your description and then flat out spun away at a stop sign 2 blocks from my house.
Oh how I miss that car. 110k on the original clutch then sold it with only 20k on the new one.
