water pump, fan clutch

I need to replace the water pump on my 97 Suburban 5.7L(350).
How do I remove the fan clutch ? Thanks Alot

This fan clutch uses a special wrench and turns counterclockwise to remove. Probably around a 42mm wrench. OE Tool number J41240. There are alot of different sizes.

Thanks for the info Billy. I didn't have a 42mm wrench, and my largest crecent was a smidgen too small. I was able to get it off with my special custom 2 foot pipe wrench. Thanks for the help !!

Umm, Autozone could rent you the right tool at no charge (for the next time).
