Foot switch in 1986 dodge ram pick-up

Can someone tell me how to replace this switch, please. I have to tap this switch in order to get my low beam lights to come on. Thank you

I don't know about your exact make and model, but I have replaced them. Maybe the problem your having it that the two attachment screws have eroded and corroded so badly that you don't recognize them. That is typical of a switch that is failing. Too much moisture and lots of corrossion. The screws are reduced to two bumps of rust.

Are we talking about a Ram 50 import or a full size Ram pickup?

Either way, check autolibrary.org for the answer to your question (if they have the info).

According to my factory manual on a 85 B150 there are two screws and 1 wire that control the switch. If your switch is rotted as Lugnut has suggested what you probably want to do is weld in a patch or screw in a patch. Go to the junk yard and see if you can remove one from a similar model, drill a hole and repace the switch.
