98 ford explorer

Ihave a 98 ford explorer my drivers side door will not unlock from the drivers side. I have to go to the passenger side to unlock. I also have to hit button two or three times to get drivers side up or unlocked. my question is how do i remove the door panel so I can see whats going on. do you take two screws out and lift up or what?

I did a 96 explorer once. It did not have any push-in trim fasteners (as best I can recall) so you may not need a trim removal tool (i.e. a large screwdriver ) After you remove the two visible screws, and remove the arm rest, just lift up and off.

Hit any Ford dealer's parts counter for an exploded view of the door panel
